اکبر گلپایگانی یکی از ستون‌های آواز اصیل ایرانی بود. او گلی بود از گل‌های موسیقی ایران در دوران پرشکوه آن؛ دورانی که هنر در کشور ما ارج داشت و هنرمند، منزلت. "گلپا" پس از فاجعه۵۷ مورد ظلم مضاعف قرار گرفت و هیچ‌گاه نتوانست هنر کم‌نظیرش را در میهن خود به مردمش و دوستداران فراوانش عرضه کند. او ۴۴ سال گذشته را با بغض این گوشه‌نشینی اجباری در وطنی که عاشقانه دوست می‌داشت، سپری کرد تا سرانجام در همان خاک هنرپرور، چشم از دنیا فرو بست. فقدان استاد اکبر گلپایگانی را به جامعه هنری ایران و خانواده و دوستانش تسلیت می‌گویم. یادش گرامی‌ست و هنرش ماندگار!
